Participating in mountain activities requires a mix of physical endurance and technical skills.

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, we’ve developed a five-level evaluation scale for each of these areas.

These criteria are designed to help you select the right activity, aligning with your abilities and the goals you want to achieve.

Technical Difficulty

1/5 – Basic

Activities with no technical challenges. Suitable for beginners, with basic instructions on progression techniques.

2/5 – Easy
Includes simple technical sections but requires no specific experience. Perfect for newcomers.

3/5 – Moderate
Requires basic experience on technical terrain, with moderately challenging sections on rock, ice, or snow.

4/5 – Challenging
Demands solid experience and the ability to handle technical sections on exposed terrain or frequent use of equipment.

5/5 – Advanced
Reserved for those with advanced technical skills. Includes difficult, often exposed sections on mixed terrain, requiring complete mastery of mountaineering techniques.

Physical Preparation

1/5 – Basic
Activities with minimal physical demands, suitable for those with general fitness. Includes short efforts and frequent breaks.

2/5 – Moderate
Requires good basic endurance, ideal for those who engage in regular physical activity. Efforts are light and sustained.

3/5 – Intermediate
Recommended for those who practice sports regularly. Involves prolonged activities at a steady pace, with segments of moderate effort.

4/5 – High
Demanding level, suitable for well-trained individuals. Requires good endurance and the ability to handle long efforts, even on challenging terrain.

5/5 – Intense
Designed for those with advanced physical preparation, with the endurance and strength needed for intense, long-lasting activities on routes requiring significant physical effort.
